La Jolla Terrace

La Jolla Terrace

Nestled in the hills of La Jolla with breathtaking views of the San Diego coastal skyline, this new construction project started with an existing outdated 1920s home and ended with a modern luxury home. The making of this home was truly a creative process, allowing the freedom of a blank slate, and a range of architectural and design possibilities. A thoughtfully curated mixture of materials and organic elements compliment the angular shapes and clean lines of this open concept, where every detail was intentionally designed with breathtaking views in mind. The pocketing sliders open completely creating a seamless connection from indoor living to outdoor oasis, surrounded by natural preserve to become the backdrop for domestic life within.

This client was looking for full design guidance, pulling inspiration from their travels, and giving complete trust into the direction and decision-making process. Bold tones, textures and details were carefully orchestrated to achieve their desire for a retreat-like feel. The simple richness of this warm, neutral palette creates the overall aesthetic of the home, with little hints of uniqueness and a vintage record player salvaged from the existing house, adding to its personality and originality.

This beautiful home was completed to perfection and accomplished with elevated comfort and elegance, exceeding the expectations of this happy family.
